My kitchen is a mess. And it's just the beginning of weeks of a mess I think.
We had water damage and so we have to have our cupboards torn out along with our floors. I think most of you who read this know what my house looks like, but I have the same flooring through my kitchen, dining room, laundry room, a bathroom and a 'hallway' up to my front door. We can't get matching tile, so we're going to have to tear all the tile out.
Praise God for insurance. We'll have to pay our deductible, but otherwise insurance will pay for new cupboards, new flooring and new subflooring.
I have a feeling it will become a mess like I can't imagine, but I'm just trying to focus on how pretty my new floors will look when it is all done.
The plus is, my mama is coming over tomorrow with my sweet nephew so that she can help me empty out my kitchen! Yay! It will be fun for the two little ones to play together, and I always love my mom's company.
Oh! Speaking of my mom's company, last weekend she and I, along with my sister and sister-in-law went to see Wicked!!! It was so great! If anyone has the chance to go see it someday, I highly recommend it! I think I'm going to have to buy the sound track now!

Oh J,
ReplyDeleteI hope that it goes well. Did you guys decide to do the living room too? It would be really fun to watch those two see each other again after their short break. Another positive that Uncle A thought of was that the chairs wont get stuck on the tile anymore. :)
I am going to make Uncle A listen to the soundtrack so he will want to go and see it with me again sometime. :)
Love you!
Yuck, no fun, BUT... NEW cabinets and floor!! It'll so be worth it in the end!! Hang in there J - and have fun with your Mom and beautiful baby and beautiful nephew!
ReplyDeleteAuntie J, we're not sure about the living room yet. It would cost at least another $1000, so we've got to see how things go. The chairs wont stick on the tile, but we will have a rug under the table and chairs.
ReplyDeleteEJ, it will be worth it in the end... just the getting there might be long!
You can do it!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was supposed to be in the voice of a movie quote, maybe something with Adam Sandler.
I hope you enjoy your new cd, I've listened to the soundtrack a few time at work when I'm doing something that doesn't require 200% concentration.
Love you, and hopefully this time will fly by.
Your sis,
C
How's it going? Are you able to spend nights at home yet?
