A little vent...

I just need to vent a little bit.. In college I posted on a different blog. I still like to read my friends posts on that blog, but I choose to post here because I don't feel like many of them would be very accepting of me posting about A so much. Now I find out a few of those girls are deleting people who don't post there anymore but still read it. I just feel like it's just one more step of not being accepted by these girls who were my closest friends in college.

But on a happier note, A has a swing set! She received it as a birthday present and J finished getting it put together the other day. She loves the swing, and the slide and standing up in her little "tower" like a queen!

It's so nice to just sit out in the back yard in my handy little camping chair by her swing and watch her enjoy swinging back and forth! She really loves it. Now we just have to get some work done on the yard so we can actually walk around and enjoy the yard too! J was talking with his friend who is a landscaper and it sounds like we'll be getting some black dirt to spread soon and then we'll seed it. It will be so great to have grass, and not just weeds and sand.

  2. The fact that you felt you had to post somewhere else about your life in the first place, should have been the first sign...

I enjoy reading about A's adventures--where did you get your swingset? We've been looking for one for B. He LOVES being outside and there's only so much running around he can do!

  3. I know what you mean Jo, it's like those of us who chose to grow up can't be friends with the rest of them.

Kristin, it was a good sign. I hardly ever read lj anymore anyway, but I do like to read a few people's posts.

She got her swingset from J's parents. I'm prettty sure they ordered it from Wal Mart. It's great, but it was a beast to put together. Not hard really, just really time consuming and not the best directions. We followed the pictures more than anything.

  5. Oh my gosh, awesome swing set! Maddy will be jealous! :)

As hurtful as it is, you have to realize that those girls are the ones who will be missing out by excluding you and others. And you might be better off by not remaining in touch with them. I was the main person who organized our high school reunion last year and became FB friends with many of my former classmates before the reunion. This group of truly mean girls were unbelievable at the reunion and still, while they're still FB friends with me, never say anything nice or positive at all, to me or anyone else! They mostly talk about how they can't wait til the weekend or that they're going out drinking...I was waiting to see if they'd wish me a happy birthday yesterday - just to see - and um, nope. Nothing. whatever. They're the ones with the sad lives, not me. I'm thinking of deleting them but the little devil over my left shoulder thinks living a happy life - and letting them see it everyday - is the best revenge...ha.ha. :)

Ok, now that's my vent...lol! :) You've got a great life, a great family, etc. Don't let their pettiness get to you. :)

  6. Thanks for your encouragement J! We're going to be getting our yard worked on soon so it will be nice to play in, but it would be awesome if M came over to play sometime!
