She's 1!

Yesterday was A's first birthday. It's hard to explain really how it felt to be at the one year mark of when she was born. All throughout the day I was remembering what was happening at that time one year ago. From contracting at home, to arriving at the hospital, to the pitocin starting, to the arrival of the epidural (woo hoo!) to when I started pushing and finally to when A was born, it was really neat to be going through it again.


Last Saturday was A's family birthday party. She seemed to love it! She was just a little bit spoiled... or a lot! She has so many fun new things to play with and just loved having so many grandparents and aunts and uncles to walk her around.

It really was such a great day. And we get to have more fun this coming weekend! We're having some friends over and I'm so excited to get to spend time with all of these different moms! I know them all, but I don't think they know each other, so it will be fun to introduce everyone. Especially because we all have little girls! The youngest girls were born last November, and then they range up to almost three. That is, until our other friends get to come over later, they have five kids ranging from 5 months to ten years. I'm excited!!!
