Adventures in potty training... day two!

Well, we're at nap time of day two of our potty training adventure!

Yesterday was exhausting. I was ready to cry most of the evening and just wanted to give up.

Today is going better...

She was up at 4:30 this morning, wet, so we ran to the bathroom to get cleaned off and into some dry jammies. I put her into bed with J and stripped her bed. I decided to just keep her in our bed which normally is fine, but today was the wrong decision. Neither her or I fell back to sleep and were up until 7:00, so I was ready to cry this morning too.

She and I went back to sleep at 7 and she slept until quarter to 11. I woke her up then and we went right into the bathroom and sure enough... she went potty on the big girl potty! I was so excited and I think it rubbed off on her because she got really excited!

Two hours later we had another successful trip to the potty with some encouragement from mama. A little while after that we had one accident, but then something big happened...

Without me prompting her, or asking her, she came up to me and said "Mommy, peepee." but she wasn't wet. So we ran to the bathroom and sure enough she went peepee... and poop! Woohoo! I was so excited for her! We called Daddy, Grandma Nana, and Papa J!

Hopefully she is able to stay dry during her nap. She did during that nap/finishing her night sleep this morning so hopefully she can again this afternoon!

I'm feeling much more encouraged today than I was last night! Hopefully things keep going well because we're heading to J's mom's this weekend and that means almost a three hour car ride!
