A good check up.

Today's check up went well. She did have the 2nd half of the flu shot, but just cried a little and then was over it.

Dr. E is a little worried about her weight though. She was 16 lbs, 12 oz today, which is less than she was at Christmas and at a check up just two weeks ago. And is only one pound more than she was in July. So Dr. E. wants her to come back in another month to track her weight. If she doesn't' gain some weight in the next month she is going to have me start supplementing with formula.

She encouraged us (J was along) to give her some high fat snacks like good cheese and custard style yogurt. I have just figured since she can't have cow's milk she couldn't have those things, but apparently she can because they are more processed. So tonight she had some cheese and loved it! Then she had french toast with momma and daddy for supper.

And best thing of the day...

She said Dada today! You should have seen J's face! It just lit up! We both heard her say it, and she just said it once, but it was quite clear! I asked J right afterwards, don't you want to call people and tell them? He said he kind of did (but of course he didn't) and I told him that's why I was calling everyone just over a week ago when she said Momma! :)

This coming weekend I'm heading back to mom and dad's for a busy weekend! On Saturday I'm co-hosting a double baby shower for two of my friends from high school! There were seven of us girls who were very close and have amazingly stayed pretty close all these years later! We haven't all gotten together since A(R)H got married almost two years ago, and we will all be there on Saturday! I am so excited! It will be the first time some of them will get to meet A so I guess I better pick out a cute outfit! :)
