Nine Months!

It's amazing to me that A is nine months already! That's a really fun milestone for me because we tried for nine months, I was pregnant for nine months and now she's been out for nine months! :) Here's a few things our little nine month old is up to...

*She can move, but hardly does. We know she can scoot backwards on her belly and twist around like no one's business, but she chooses not to most of the time. She would rather sit, be held, or be standing (with help).

*She babbles all the time. It started with babababa, moved to mamamama and now we're evening adding in dadada! And most of the time she isn't babbling all that quietly... hmm, I wonder who she gets her voice from? ;)

*She got a walker last week but only moves backwards in it. She has taken a step or two forward, but really hasn't figured that out yet. She likes to move, but I don't think she realizes she's the one moving herself, because if you walk away from her in it, she gets mad. I think when she really figures it out, she'll follow me when I walk away.

*She is only taking two naps a day now. This tends to wear her momma out because she is tired a lot during the day, but doesn't want to nap, just wants to be held and walked around. I figure she's at the stage where she only needs two naps, but still needs some restful time in there, so once or twice a day I'll just put her in her crib for 10 minutes or so and she'll just talk to her bunny rabbit or even just lay there and suck her thumb. When she starts talking really loudly or fussing, I get her and that's enough to keep her going for a while.

*She waves "Bye Bye" now! Last week she would randomly move her arm around. It looked like waving and Dr. E said it was, but it was always at random times. On Saturday night my Aunt M was leaving my parents and A waved at her. We all got so excited! Auntie M said she could stand there and wave at her all night! It's just this soft little princess wave! :) By Sunday afternoon she would wave back if someone waved at her.

*We're building up the list of table foods that she'll eat. She does bananas, potatoes, cheese, yogurt, apples, french toast, pancakes, and even a chip! :) Of course she still loves graham crackers but I haven't given her any in a few weeks because she was taking such big bites. She also likes Saltines, but I try to scrape most of the salt off. I am sure there's more that she's tried, I just can't think of any more. Pretty much anything I'm eating that seems soft enough gets tried.

*She had her 9 month pictures taken by an old friend of mine last Friday! A(R)H lives in Chicago now, but came up to take A's pictures and get together with a bunch of us girls for a baby shower for our friends!

So there's a few things our little lady is up to! There's probably more that I'm not remembering right now, but I know she's going to wake up from her nap soon and I still want to empty the dishwasher! :)
