I am a wife to a wonderful husband and we will be celebrating our fifth anniversary in August. We have a beautiful daughter who I love in a way I didn't even know was possible. I'm trying every day to learn how to be a better wife, a better mommy, and a better house keeper! :)
I made this crockpot supper tonight -- BUT -- our outlet decided to not work and I didn't notice while I was at the park all afternoon with my punky. BOO! So we're having it for lunch tomorrow! But, we've made it before.
ReplyDeleteHere goes:
2 cans cheddar cheese soup
2 lbs. chicken cut in cubes
1 cup water
1 1/4 c. long grain rice
2 c. salsa
Throw it in the pot. Heat on low for 6 hours (I think -- I was going to do it on high for a few... it usually is ok) or until rice and chicken are done.
Put some goop in the middle of tortilla shells and serve.
Yum-o! : )
That sounds great EJ! Thanks! I'll give it a try!
ReplyDeleteYou know what? After I made it I was underwhelmed. Hope it went better for you!!
ReplyDeleteHere's the pasta salad I had today:
Bowtie pasta (or whatever you want to use)
Any veggies you like (I used tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, carrots - in the past I've also added cauliflower and broccoli)
Coleslaw Salad Dressing (in with the others, I think it's Kraft)
Shredded cheese
(Today I added bacon!)
It's such an easy go to salad. I've gotten good reviews from guests having it so I keep making it!!
I think I've had that pasta, I liked it!
ReplyDeleteI've been in the mood for floating tacos, maybe you want to try that old favorite recipe.
-Your sis
Sis... I don't think I know how to make them. Can you fill me in?
ReplyDeletetry chicken spaghetti from the pioneer woman (easily found on her website) I tried it out a whiel back and it was a hit. (its not really spaghetti, you could really use any kind of noodles)....delish.
ReplyDeletechicken salad? It might be good for J to bring with to lunch, i have an AMAZING recipe if you want it.
um... spaghetti pie is a staple around here.
homemade potato salad is always good
I'm waiting for green peppers to be in season so I can make stuffed green peppers!
I'm too lazy to actually write the recipe for anything, just lemme know (oh FB) if you want anything.
otherwise, if you check out http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen/ I always find something good.
I made these bars the other day and they are SO yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteMix: 1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
Spread 1/2 of this mixture in a 9 by 13 pan.
Melt: 1/2 stick of butter
1 can of sweet condensed milk
1 cup chocolate chips
When melted, pour over the crust. Then by spoonfuls, drop the remainder of the cake mix on top of chocolate layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
***I'm imagining substituting choc. cake mix and using white chocolate chips. Or same cake mix and butterscotch chips....
Have a great 4th of July!!!
