Wishing...

I wish I was more driven.

I wish I did a better job keeping up with my house.

I wish I was more crafty.

I feel like if I was actually more driven, I would do a better job with the laundry and dishes and general mess that the kiddo and I can make throughout the day. Which would then accomplish my wish number two. So maybe those two just go together.

I just spent some time catching up on this blog and this blog. Those ladies can come up with the most creative ideas. I just love checking in on their blogs and seeing what they've created recently. The second one has a "guest blogger" once a week who shares information on cake decorating. She makes it look pretty simple! I think it would be fun to try that sometime too.

I also sometimes feel like I shouldn't even start a craft project whether it is sewing or scrap booking or anything else unless my house is clean. I don't want J to think that I'm skipping all the necessities just to "play"!

I've found that if I can have on some fun music (Mama Mia on DVR works well!) I can be so much more productive! But anyone one who has lived with me knows that I clean best when I have some one to talk to! When I was in college my "suite mate" would just come and sit in my room to talk to me while I got some cleaning done. And I often find myself cleaning while I'm on the phone with my mom or my sister or J's grandma.

So if someone finds me a magic bottle... and would like to share one of their wishes... I'd wish that I was more driven. I'm pretty sure it would make me a better wife, a better mommy and a better friend.

Or just come on over and have a seat in my kitchen and visit with me while I clean! :)
