An Update

Well, Grandpa is still here.

On Wednesday he coded while having an endoscopy. That along with the fact they found more blood in his stomach than there had been on Tuesday was enough for them to airlift him to St. Cloud.

He had a surgery/procedure there where they were able to remove the blood. Apparently it was all from a bleeding ulcer. They were able to close that and stop the bleeding. They said that the reason he had coded was that he had a heart attack while they were doing the scope.

So now I guess he's going to have a procedure to implant something into a blood vessel that leads to his heart to prevent future hear attacks since he can no longer be on his blood thinners that he had formally been on to prevent heart attacks.

A cousin of J's said on facebook that Grandpa had better color today, which I think is a good sign. Hopefully we are past the worst of this and we just need to wait a few things out and then let Grandpa rest and recover.

Thanks so much for your prayers. We really didn't think he was going to make it on Wednesday, so it's a blessing he's still here.



And the baby slept better last night. :)
