I have clean carpets! Yesterday J and I shampooed the carpet in the living room and our bedroom. We hadn't done it since last spring when I was nesting. It feels so good to know it's good and clean again. Now A can start crawling if she would like to. :)
She actually does love to move, just not on the floor. If J and I are sitting on the couch and she's on my lap she works so hard to get over to daddy! She just doesn't want to on the floor. It really doesn't bother me, I know kids reach different stages at different ages. But I don't like it when some people's reaction is "She's not crawling yet?!?!" Like I should be so embarrassed. I just say no, and remind them that while their infant is getting into everything, mine is still sitting safely in the living room on her blanket.
Two nights ago A was up six times during the night. SIX TIMES. That's worse than when she was a newborn. But the day before that she had been running a fever all day. Last night she was only up ONCE!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!! Then we were up at 7 this morning. She went down for a nap at 8 and is still out (two hours later).
I've been tearing it up in my house! I'm hosting our company's Christmas party tomorrow night. I am saving cooking all of the big stuff for tomorrow, but I need to finish some of my baking today. Yesterday I made the cheese ball (yes, I know I'm like an 80 year old that I like cheese balls.) and the spinach dip. I also got all of the little smokies wrapped with bacon with some help from the hubs. He was so much help yesterday. I think he felt bad for me for how hard of a night I had had with the baby.
Good news on J's Grandpa. He will hopefully be moved this week (maybe even today or tomorrow) to a nursing home just 20 minutes from his house. That should make it easier for Grandma. They have been about 75 minutes from home, so I think she's been staying at the hospital. He'll be in the nursing home for a week, and then hopefully get to go home. They did say that they think he has mild congestive heart failure. I know this doesn't sound good, but we're just so thankful he made it though last week, that we're choosing to focus on that right now.
Christmas is just ten days away! Where have the last three weeks gone! I pretty much have had all my shopping done for two weeks, but I need to get my rear in gear with wrapping!
Okay! Off to work on the next baking project!! Have a great day!
